Hawksbill Shield Foundation is a self-initiated UX/UI case study created as my final project in the Google UX Design Certificate program. I chose a conservation-focused concept centered on protecting the endangered Hawksbill Sea Turtle—using the project as a way to learn mobile product design while building something tied to a cause I care about. The app concept is designed to help users donate, volunteer, and learn about the Hawksbill Sea Turtle, turning awareness into action through simple, guided flows.

Over a one-month timeline, I led the full process independently—using a randomized project prompt from the program to push myself outside of familiar design habits. I developed the brand from the ground up, including a logo and a minimal brand system (color, typography, and basic guidelines). To challenge my usual preferences, I used Coolors to generate an unfamiliar palette and refined it into a cohesive color story that supported a modern, minimalist UI.

This project represents a milestone in my growth as a designer: it allowed me to sharpen my Figma skills, practice end-to-end mobile app design, and successfully complete the Google UX Design Certificate with a polished, portfolio-ready final deliverable. Below you’ll find key mockups, links to the Figma files, and a detailed walkthrough of the case study.
